Tennis Director – Michael Dowd
Cardinal Hill is excited to have Michael Dowd return as our Tennis Director. Michael has been our Tennis Director since 2015. Michael brings outstanding experience to Cardinal Hill having formerly served as Director of Tennis at the Willowbrook Swim and Tennis Club from 2004-2012. Since 2012 Michael had been the Director of Tennis at the Bronxville Field Club. Michael also brings strong coaching credentials. Michael currently is the Head Coach of Men’s Tennis at Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Previously, Michael was the Head Coach of Women’s Tennis at the University of Pennsylvania for 12 years. He elevated the Penn Tennis program to national status winning the 2007, 2002 and 2001 Ivy League Championship, the first-ever Ivy League Tennis Championships in Penn’s history.
Michael is an accomplished player who is currently rated 5.0 in the USTA. As a former player on the ATP Satellite Circuit, he was ranked #5 in Men’s Open Singles in the Mid-Atlantic region. He played men’s tennis at George Washington University having held the school record for most singles wins and serving as captain for two years. At George Washington University Michael was team MVP in 1994 and was named 1990 Volvo Rookie of the Year. He also had a very successful junior career ranking as high as #17 in the nation, and #1 in Maryland for four years.

Assistant Tennis Pro
Robin Crider has played professionally and coached collegiately and privately for over 25 years. Currently she teaches year round at Regency Sport and Health. Robin has over 8 years of teaching at Cardinal Hill.
Terence Rosenthal –
Originally hailing from New Jersey, Terence had numerous sectional rankings from junior high school through college. At University of Pittsburgh, Terence played first singles for University of Pittsburgh, NCAA Division 1. In addition, Terence was ranked #72 on the U.S. National Amateur Circuit. Terence has been a teaching pro for over twenty years, and is USPTA certified. In addition, he has a certification in Tennis fitness from Pat Etcheberry. Terence has worked with players ranging from beginner to college level. He holds a BFA in graphic design from Parsons School of Design, and a Master’s in Public Policy from Liberty University.
